Of course I had to show him how to get on it and keep his feet up but once he got the hang of it he was riding it down the hall crashing into everything! Assembly was pretty easy and the instructions say to charge the batter for 24 hours before using but the battery actually had enough juice to play for about an hour already. Only goes 2 miles per hour but that is perfect for a toddler, anything more and you won't be able to catch them when they ride away. By Ryan I bought this for my son who is only 20 months old, he was so excited to get on and ride it I was still puting it together wheels not even on yet, and he was trying to sit on it to ride it. It was very easy to put together, all you really have to do is put on the front bumber, handle bars and wheels and connect the battery, which buy the way had enough of a charge to play with it for an hour For only $48 this is a GREAT buy. Instantly he started riding the quad, of course I had to show him at first how to push the buttom to go, stear, and get off and turn it around to go back the other way, after that he was on his own and loving it. It doesn't go very fast, but as he gets a little older, I'll modify it with a bigger battery. Oh and if you are APO it will ship.
