Great value for the money By MeganS I ordered the EZIP 1000 several months ago and have been thoroughly impressed with the value for the money that the scooter has provided since I received it. I originally purchased the scooter to run around my neighborhood. However, I have found myself using it far more than I imagined. The scooter folds up easily so I am able to put it in my car and use it in a variety of places and on various terrains.....it runs great on sidewalks, concrete, grass, and dirt. I weigh 200+lbs and the scooter provides plenty of power and zip. Riding the scooter is very smooth and it's easy to steer thanks to the full suspension. Additionally, the scooter is very quiet. I have enjoyed this scooter very much and would highly recommend it! 36 of 44 people found the following review helpful. Why you should not buy this... By Martin Anderson I bought and returned three of these at different times from my local Sam's Club. Every single one failed within a week of purchase and was returned. The first one had a bad gearbox, which started making a loud clanking noise whenever the rear wheel was activated. The second one had a bad disc brake: The right rear pad was not sufficiently shimmed, so the rotor rubbed against the caliper housing. The third one had a bad bearing on the rear wheel. All of these problems manifested themselves after only a few hours of use. The idea behind this product is a good one: Use standard bicycle parts and an electric motor to create an inexpensive scooter. The problem is that Currie (the company who makes these products) apparently uses Chinese made parts which didn't last more than a few hours for me(see above) and has made bad design decisions as the product has changed from year to year (see below). The first design problem comes from the use of disc brakes in the front and rear. While older models had a standard caliper brakes, the newer models now have disc brakes on both wheels. The problem is that the wheels aren't balanced well, and the rotors/discs "wobble." When that happens, the rotor rubs against both disc pads, which will cause them to wear prematurely. A standard bicycle caliper style brake would have worked better and been easier to service. The second design problem is the motor. Instead of using a chain to drive and external sprockets for gearing, Currie hooked the motor directly to the rear wheel using a sealed gearbox. This presents several problems. First, without a chain, there is no ability to freewheel (i.e., to coast without continuing to spin the motor). This means that the motor is constantly being worn, even when you are merely coasting and it slows you down as well. Second, the sealed gearbox is much harder to fix than a chain, which is open and easily serviced. Finally, if you are going downhill and you exceed some maximum speed set by Currie, the electronic system shuts down and when you come to stop, you have to turn the scooter off and then back on before you can continue. Third, as of late 2007, Currie removed the adjustable seat post in favor of a fixed seat post. This means that you can no longer adjust the height of the seat. We purchased from Amazon and the delivery was quick (as usual). The scooter goes together very easily in about 30 minutes or less. The scooter is heavy (about 75-80lbs) but manageable. It zips right along, has headlight blinkers and horn. It gave him mobility that he didn't have before. Now, I don't allow him to ride it on streets with speed limits over 25mph, but it is more than adequate to get him around our subdivision. I have even ridden in when all the cars are gone. It's fun! Now, remember, it runs on rechargeable batteries. If you follow the directions on keeping it charged, you will get the most life out of them. But after a year or two, you will probably want to replace the batteries with new ones. Not a problem. Replace,ment parts are readily available. Matter of fact, I recently ran over the charger with my car and now will by a new one for about $15 from ebay.... It's body is plastic, so it is not for those who are hard on things and should only buy things made of metal. It should NOT be stored outside. Because the wheels are small, it can feel a little 'wiggly' especially at higher speeds--and the less you weigh, the faster you will go. I would NOT recommend it for small children. My son was 13 when we got him this. We have totally enjoyed the thing. DANGER - DO NOT BUY THIS SCOOTER By bartman27 DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM - I purchased this exact scooter from another site - the cargo trunk came cracked out of the box, but my daughter was very excited, so we over looked this - it ran for 4 days and then stopped. My daughter did not get it wet and it was always kept out of the weather - calling the manufacturer they stated that the parts were warrentied for 30 days, batteries for 60 days, no exchange no return. this is where the problems started -No technician ever contacted me by phone or email, only the nice ladies from costumer service. I was told it was the controller and they shipped me a new contoller but the incorrect one -the correct one is on back order the last time i spoke to them - then it seemed the throttle was the problem so i order that part - each time the parts take a week at least to come - i had paid for the scooter and now six weeks plus had gone by and no working scooter - finally i put in the throttle assembly and plugged in the scooter to charge in my garage - as i was walking out,i heard a pop and then saw FLAMES SHOOTING out of the contoller and wiring!!!! - i am a fireman for over twenty years and it was not a little smoke, it was actual flames and alot of smoke - i quickly put it out and told my upset daughter it was going back - I realized it could have easily burned my house down if I had walked out a minute earlier - i packed it back up in the orginal box and it cost me 78 dollars to ship it back to the manufacture on top of the original cost - americanexpress was notified at the original failure and this was added to the dipute - i am still waiting to see how much money i will lose on this deal - what a scam!!!! This is Lego's first engine and car for the new Power Function's (PF) train system. PF motors and infrared control devices are now common across a number of Lego product lines (e.g., Creator and Technic). If you have the old 9 volt system (which many Lego users were sorry to see discontinued) you can attempt a modification and place an old motor unit on this new train (others are doing this to varying degrees of elegance); axle width has not changed. If you have either of the RC train sets (7897 and 7898, which were brought out after 9 volt in 2006), those units have their own motor and infrared units (i.e., non-PF). PF and RC use the exact same track. What do you need to run this train? This set does not come with any track or any of the motors or infrared receivers or control units. The track is currently (spring 2010) available in three sets: 7896 (straight and curved), 7895 (switches), and 8867 (flexible track). If these are not readily available on Amazon, check for them at Lego. The PF units are usually a little more difficult to source and the best selection is typically directly from Lego. The PF units required for this train are: 8882 (1 XL motor), 8884 (IR receiver), 8878 (battery), 8879 (remote control), 8887 (transformer for the battery). You can also add a light (8870). The cost of these accessories is usually more than the Emerald Night set itself. Also, the PF Motor Set #8293 is NOT designed for the Emerald Night; 8293 is designed to power a number of Technic sets. Comments on the set: It is not much of a stretch to say that this is the most finely rendered steam engine that Lego has ever offered for sale. The engine it most closely approximates is a British Pacific Class A3. The set compares nicely to the best of the 9 volt era sets (e.g.: 10020 Sante Fe Super Chief, 10022 and 10025 Santa Fe passenger cars, 10133 BNSF, 10170 TTX, and 10183 Hobby Train). With the Emerald Night, Lego is introducing new driving wheels. If you look closely at them, you will notice that not all of the drivers have flanges (so called blind drivers); this allows the train to negotiate curves that would otherwise be too tight. When Lego announced the Emerald Night, they released a short video of the train's designer, Jamie Berard, discussing the set. I recommend that you find the video on the net as it will give you a better sense of the scale of the train and its novel features. As of late 2009, at least one Lego representative has stated that they will not be producing stand-alone passenger car sets for the Emerald Night. Of all the Lego trains currently available, this one is the most difficult to build and the drivetrain sometimes requires tinkering. There have been a few discussion threads in the Eurobricks train forum about small modifications that can increase reliability. In April, 2011, Lego introduced set 10219, a highly realistic American freight engine with two container cars. This new set is likely a category replacement for the Emerald Night. So if you want the Emerald Night in your collection, I would not wait too much longer. Vemuri I got this product yesterday from "toys--us" for just under sixty bucks, this is extremely good product and fun for the price, my boy is 19 mons and he immediatly loved it and very first day he is able to operate it reasonably, he still do not know the turns, i tried on carpet, pavement and on fully grown lawn, it worked very well. Only Con in my perspective: 1. Too short of 19 mons old, his legs are cramped in the foot rests they have given and the height of the vehicle is too small for his age, not sure if he can enjoy this very long, where recomended age on the box is up to 3 years. 2. But we've had it for a while, and it's really fun! It was a little complicated to put together, and you have to charge the battery in advance. But once it's built, it operates really well. It is perfect for my one year old. He quickly figured out how to run it with the pushbutton. I wouldn't recommend it for outdoor use. It runs really well on hardwood floor and gets stuck on our Oriental rug. I can't imagine how well it would do on grass or sand. It would be OK on a sidewalk but you probably don't want your kid using this on a sidewalk without constant supervision. So, we prefer to keep it in the living room. Now, at 1 years old, he hasn't figured out how to turn it, although it does allow you to steer it (unlike some other push/ride-on toys)...so we have to turn it for him and let him go the other way. There are only 2 poor designs on this toy: 1. Kids needs to press and hold a button to start the train throughout the ride, if your kids are under 3 years old, they could not do that for long. 2. The train will fall off the track if the rider swing left and right during the ride, my kid fell off the train once and hit his head. Lots of fun but hard for kids to operate By Karen M. Stinson We bought this train for my 2 year old son's birthday who is fanatic about Thomas. This is a really adorable toy. The major complaint I have is that it is really hard for the kids to use. You have to hold the button constantly in order for Thomas to move. We had it at his Thomas birthday party for all the kids to ride. The 4 year olds where the only ones who could figure out how to ride it on their own. The younger ones we had to hold the button while it went round the track which makes you pretty dizzy! BUT we have found a resolution, we engineered a way for it to stay on continuously when he wants to ride. We have a rubber band which holds down a magic marker which presses the button (sounds funny). It doesn't go that fast so when he wants to stop he just says "get off". So now that we have the contraption figured out my son (us too) loves this toy. We moved it into the living room. Downside is it takes up alot of space but it is really easy to take apart and put back together. We had a little trouble with it becoming derailed when we had it outside (probably because our uneven sidewalk) but we haven't had any trouble inside with it becoming derailed. Now that we have figured out how my son can ride it on his own, we are happy with this toy. My son loves it and he looks too cute riding around on his little Thomas. Roberts I bought this toy for my son's 2nd birthday thinking it would be perfect for my obsessed Thomas toddler, especially since the age range was 18 mo - 3yrs. It is so cute and he loves it as long as I hold the button down with my hand to make it go, which gets tiring for mom and he gets bored not being able to do it on his own. The button takes some effort to push and hold down. Plus, there is a delay time once the button is pushed - a bell goes off and then it takes a couple of seconds to get moving and by that time he's taken his hand off the button to make it go. It's a bit confusing for a child his age. Friends that have come over that are 2 1/2 have difficulty with this toy also, seems like the age ranges are a bit off - better for a 3 year old and up. The tiny car goes at a whopping 1.9 mph, I put my gps on it for the speed test. The "mp3 player" is a cord that you plug in to your iPod so it really is just a poor quality speaker in the steering wheel. The songs that the car plays are baby songs. The quality of the build was suspect at best. The J bar that goes in to the streering wheel to make sure that the remote works was built badly. It didn't line up with the holes, when my son got in it for the forts time he looked down and asked if thy piece if plastic was supposed to be broken. The decals are all very sad and the stickers are falling off right out of the box. One of then says something in a language I can't find anywhere. What is "chilokbo" that is the sticker on the back. I tried doing a gift return and it takes you to a screen that said I will have to pay for shipping back and a %15 restocking fee. They obviously don't stand by the product if try charge you thy much just to give it back. To sum up this horrible car. The 6 v battery held it's charge for 22 minutes, it went 1.9 mph. The plastic was broken in places, the glue is visable from the top and the sides. Lee My 11 year old nephew who is an R/C afficianado loved this car, and hasn't wanted to stop playing with it (He's set up a big ramp on a dirt hill for to master more tricks with it). Here's the ups and downs of it for us: The GREAT: 0 According to him, it's just cool. It does things other remote cars don't. Transforming into a monster truck ("awesome"), flipability (is that a word?)/Double-sided, and it's super fast. Plus, it's really a nice big size for all that speed. (a little bigger than a shoe box) 0 Highly durable: That's the one thing I always worry about w/ these cars - but this one has been put to every test 0 Easy-to-use remote for doing all those tricks. THE NOT SO GOOD: 0 Battery life and access: It's great they've made such a good toy that noone wants to stop playing it, but not so good that the longest it can be played is about 1-1/2 hours before it needs to be charged for another four hours. Then you need to grab the philips screwdriver to pull it out for charging. MY NEPHEWS WISHLIST FOR IT: As I said, he loves the car. He's been playing with it pretty much whenever it's not charging. My son loves it because " it can change its body shape, high or low, it goes very fast, the remote works from very far away, it's reversible, and it's easy to control". I'd also like to add that the battery lasts for over an hour. Great outdoor fun for kids 3-7. Two motors..one for each back wheel. Two 6 volt batteries for 12 volts of power on two 18 a motors. Traction bands on back wheels. Wide wheels. Charges in just 8 hours. Runs continuously for about an hour on a charge. Most kids stop and start a lot..so the hour of ride time usually ends up lasting the whole day.

This is a very nice ride on toy. It has 2 speeds, 2 motors, 2 batteries. Motors are powerful 18 watt motors able to handle the load. Great for kids ages 3-7 and up to about 80 lbs. Back wheels have rubber traction treads. This is a very popular electric quad.

He loves it but for the money it costs I was a little disappointed. It is not very fast, thank goodness it came with training wheels because I don't know how a kid would be able to ride it without, it just doesn't go fast enough. He has had it for a little over a week and the stickers are already peeling off. If he didn't love it so much I would send it back. Mom may be a little frightened at first because on the 2nd speed it moves pretty quick and the front wheel jumps off the ground when the throttle is turned. However, I called Peg Perego and they shipped a new front fork out immediately and for no charge. Their customer support is outstanding!! Great entry level power kit By Shawn Owens Recently purchased this kit to help with some of the hills we have here in Dayton OH. I use my bike for commuting. I installed the kit on a used full suspension mountain bike. I purchased a new Shimano Tourney 7Spd 14-28T Freewheel to go with it as well as a heavy duty kickstand. I recommend you do the same. Installation took a couple of hours since the kit isn't really made for this type of bike. If you are not mechanically talented you should probably find help from someone who is because installation is necessarily flexible to fit as many bikes as possible. Tools needed are wrenches to fit your bike, a set of metric Allen wrenches, #2 Phillips screwdriver and tire tools. I won't go into details as the manual is here: [...] Some notes on the installation: First I recommend some thread lock, like Henkel Corp 209728 Loctite Blue Threadlocker, since not all fasteners have lock-nuts or lock-washers and will vibrate loose eventually. The kit comes with some extras but not many. You will probably also want some extra zip-ties to tie the wires to the frame. Make sure all fasteners are tight after assembly and check them daily for the first few days as metal mounting straps will "set" over time allowing fasteners to become loose. Be sure the wiring isn't going to get pinched in any way or is allowed to rub on any moving parts like wheels, chains or brakes. The kit is fairly heavy so the heavy duty M-Wave Steel Double Leg Side Bicycle Kickstand is HIGHLY recommended. Your bike's normal lean-over stand will probably not hold it. It wasn't meant to hold more than the bike. The wheel in the kit fit my tire and tube but is a wider wheel than the original so a longer rear brake cable or wider brakes may be needed by some. Ride Report: I am a big guy. I'm 5'10" and 250lbs. We have lots of steep hills here and I live on the tallest one in town. The motor has very good torque for only being 450 watt (about 1/2hp) but with hilly terrain and a heavy rider range WILL suffer. 10-15 miles on this kit would need flat terrain and a smaller, more athletic rider. For me and where I live, I'm estimating 3-5 miles. The weight of the kit isn't noticeable when riding. Speed is good, I can pedal along in the top two gears of a 21 speed comfortably at full throttle. Throttle response is good, if a little delayed. This seems to be due to a "soft Start" function of the motor controller. Very fine speed control with no noticeable "Stepping" One thing to note, always lock the battery in place since it gets a good rattling around being bolted to the rear suspension. (If it doesn't fit good and tight, bend the mount's rails inward till it does or the battery will bounce around on it's contacts and arc, causing overheating in the contacts.) So far, the kit has not been adversely affected by the record setting rain we've been getting around here, though the thumb throttle seems to be stiffening up a bit. Overall I think I got my money's worth. Until I get in better shape, this is great help up hills. It has a fair turn of speed at full throttle, but cruises well at half throttle too. The only downside is that it adds a fair amount of weight to a bike (mostly the battery) so if you have to lift it onto a bike rack it's going to give you a workout doing so. Overall, I would give a 5 star on this for it's endurance and battery quality. My son loves riding this one and it works great... however there are a few problems: 1. Poor traction. This means, there will be a lot of wheelspin on very smooth surfaces or when the vehicle is stuck on grassy surfaces etc. Someone has to push the vehicle out before the child can resume driving. 2. Poor hood and front bumper design. My 3 year old son is vey easily able to open the front hood at will and put anything he wants into it. The hood does not fit perfectly, so anyone, even a child can put a finger on the side and open the hood, which exposes the battery and the wires that connect the battery... NOT SAFE!!!! The front bumper also does not fit perfectly with the main body of the vehicle. This was very dissapointing. On the other hand, this car comes with a nice red color with all those fancy stickers and this is nothing but a slight variant of the fisher price Disney Pixar Cars Lightning McQueen power wheels car. Because of the better handling and wheel design (not slanted), the Jeep is remarkably agile. It took me 2 hours to build it, and I couldn't believe the size of it. Our neighbor has a smaller one and this thing dwarfs it! For the first 3 days we left the speed lock in place so it only went 2.5 mph. The brakes work automatically upon releasing the gas pedal. After removing the speed lock it goes 5mph, and is very agile. It does require 14hrs of charging, but probably lasts a couple of hours on that charge. When he saw it on his birthday he was excited at first, but when he tried it out, the happiness soon vanished and turned into tears. The truck will NOT move on grassy or uneven ground and don't even think of trying to take this thing on any kind of trail or fun setting. This is strictly an indoor toy. Godun Before I start: If you decide to purchase this toy, buy it from another vendor. At the time of this writing Amazon is selling it for nearly twice what virtually every other vendor is selling it for. A little shopping around will greatly increase your savings! With that in mind... The Power Wheels toys are all largely the same in dimensions and capabilities, differing largely on simple aesthetics. Whether it's a Mustang or a Jeep or an Escalade or whatever, they all largely do the same thing in the same manner so really this review could apply to just about all Power Wheels toys. In a nutshell, this one arrives in BRIGHT Barbie Pink (naturally) and features two forward speeds, one reverse speed, a horn, a radio, and a battery life indicator. Two bucket seats will easily accomodate two toddler-sized children without cramping or elbow fighting. My two year old daughter is BARELY able to reach the pedal; although I know it's not sanctioned by Fisher-Price, I velcro'ed a 2" thick wooden block to the top of the pedal which allows my daughter to reach it more easily. Assembly isn't terribly difficult but does require a bit of direction-following. As so many things are, "some assembly is required." Armed with a Philips-head screwdriver, a comfortable workspace and a little help from your fellow parent it shouldn't take more than 5-10 minutes to fully assemble the vehicle. IMPORTANT TIP FOR PARENTS: Even if you're planning to assemble the car after you present it to your child, remove the battery and charger from the box and charge it up overnight so that, when the car is fully assembled, your child can immediately drive it. The car has two forward speeds and one reverse, selected by a console-mounted shift lever. Out of the box the "high" forward speed is locked out. Mommy or daddy needs to do a little 'under the hood' tinkering to remove the lock-out, a process which takes less than a minute to complete. This is done as a safety measure, particularly for younger children who may get scared over the faster speed or simply are still learning how to control the car. In "low" speed the car moves at a casual walking pace, while in "high" speed it's more like a brisk walking pace. Reverse is in "low" speed but, of course, backwards. I found that, even at "low" speed, the car has a tendency to burn rubber (plastic) when only my daughter is in it. On simple asphalt the rear tires easily spin three or four times before gaining traction. On grass it gains traction a lot sooner but there's still at least one wheel spin. With a second child in the car this traction issue goes away; since my daughter is a year under Fisher-Price's recommended minimum age I'm sure this issue will resolve itself once my daughter grows and gains weight. It's important to note that, like all Power Wheels, the motor is either fully-on or fully-off. It's not like a real car where you can feather the throttle for variable speed. Either the car is in full motion (traction and gravity notwithstanding), or it's not. Steering is limited with a very wide turning radius - about 18 feet, which is almost as wide as a two-car driveway. It is therefore fairly certain that your child will, at some point, run into a situation where he/she will need to either learn to drive in reverse or get out of the car and push it until it faces the right direction. The body is reasonably stable so far as these toys go. The hood opens to reveal the battery; the doors and trunk lid do NOT open. My daughter had a little bit of difficulty climbing into and out of the car; a three year old will likely not have such difficulty. I expected the doors to remain closed to provide some safety to the child but I was surprised to find that the trunk didn't provide even a little bit of storage space for, say, a box of chalk or a small snack. I'm glad I did, the train is very stable on the tracks. It makes alot of fun sounds that are very realistic. I have 3 children with the oldest at 60lbs and my other 2 are no more than 45lbs. All 3 rode the train and it was not a difference because the weight limit is 44bls. I think the track is rathter big and I'm pleased with this purchase. The seat is very roomy and your little one can tuck a teddy bear or a favorite toy in the extra car. NICE! MY KIDZ LUV IT. Also, I research alot of Trains before I purchase this one, the Sante Fe train was too small and a little flimsy! I wanted to get Thomas the Train but it was very hard to find and a little too pricey for me. So once I saw this one, but could not find one review on it on the internet.... We called Little Tikes but they said they couldn't help us since it was a National Products toy. National Products licensed the Little Tikes brand and used it to promote their own product. National Products is a company that manufactures and sells crappy Chinese products. They seem to have a hard time returning calls and email, first had us run around replacing fuses on the battery, then testing the battery at Radio Shack for a couple weeks. None of this worked. Then they said that the warranty was only valid for defective parts. They said we could ship in the engine at a cost of about $30 and the engine would cost about $50. The return shipping would cost another $30 at least, making the repair more expensive than the actual retail price of the train itself. They cooked up this scheme after first telling us they could send us the engine but we would have to open up the train and then SOLDER (with a blowtorch!) the engine to the train!! I'm a housewife. Where in the hay would I find a blowtorch and SOLDER a part? This is my warning to you all: do not buy this product. Little Tikes will not stand by this product even though their name is on it. When i received the car it was very easy to put together but i quickly realized that there was no remote.... I called the company and they said that Amazon should not be showing that video because that model with the remote was not released in the US so now i'm stuck with a car that will have to be parked until my son's feet reach the peddles!!!! Exceeded our expectations By Jason Pierce We purchased this for our 7 year old and 4 year old so they could ride in it together. We chose this Power Wheels vehicle over the Power Wheels Cadillac Escalade because it has a truck bed, and we thought the kids would enjoy putting their toys in there and collecting rocks, etc. on their off-road adventures. SHIPPING As a Prime member, when I order items from Amazon that say "Ships from and sold by Amazon" (as this item did) I expect prompt delivery without any hassle. And, for the past 2 years I've never been let down. Unfortunately, that was not the case with this order. It was supposed to be a 2-day delivery, and it ended up taking 20-days. Amazon gave us a $10.00 credit because it didn't ship on time, and I appreciate the gesture, but that didn't make-up for the hassle. The carrier that Amazon chose to use was called ABF, and it appears they were the ones that dropped the ball. So, just a heads up, if Amazon is still using ABF to ship this item you may want to buy it locally, if you don't want to wait a month. ASSEMBLY The truck was very easy to assemble. A Phillips Screwdriver was the only tool that was required and everything fit together without having to be forced or modified. The directions were accurate and very easy to understand. The instructions recommend two people during assembly because you have to flip the truck over for certain steps, but I managed to do it by myself without any trouble. Assembly time was about an hour, including placement of the decals. FIRST IMPRESSIONS The truck is beautiful, with a fully functioning FM radio that gets good reception and has plenty of volume (requires 4 C batteries). The design is very sturdy and holds up to both our kids jumping in and out of it, placing rather heavy items in the truck bed, and standing on the running boards to get in/out. The battery is easy to access and the connector fits snugly but isn't difficult to remove. TRACTION I'm really impressed with the traction this truck gets. The truck comes with three gears: Reverse, Low, and High. Reverse and Low use one rear wheel to propel the vehicle, and this actually works very well on flat terrain (grass, cement, asphalt) and on very gentle slopes. But the vehicle really shines in High gear (which Fisher-Price calls Monster Traction), when both rear wheels are used for propulsion. The truck is virtually unstoppable in High gear. It goes up very steep hills, over rough terrain, gravel, cement, asphalt, anything we throw at it, and it does so with both kids riding in it and with toys in the truck bed. BATTERY LIFE We charged the battery, per the instructions, for 18-hours before we used it - and that charge lasted longer than any of us thought it would. With both kids riding in it in High gear, up and down hills, through gravel, grass, sidewalks, and asphalt, the charge lasted for over an hour. We purchased an extra battery so our kids could enjoy extended playtime. And I'm glad we did, because when the battery finally did run low, we simply swapped it out with the new one and they were off and running for another hour of off-road fun! MOTORS In Reverse and Low gear, the vehicle moves at a nice walking pace of about 2.5 MPH. In High gear, it moves very quickly at 5 MPH, and you'll have to jog to keep up. The motors perform without any issues when used as recommended (i.e., flat terrain), but can overheat if you're climbing hills (not slopes, hills) without any breaks in-between. When the motors overheat the truck will simply stop working. This is different from the battery dying, where the truck will gradually get slower and slower until it can't move any longer. When the motors overheat, the truck simply stops. No warning, nothing. This isn't really unexpected, considering the strain that is placed on them in said conditions, but just something you should be prepared for if you are going to

It is a slow vehicle and is better on the drive way. It is for Toddlers, My 7 year look silly on it. I would absolutly recommend for any toddler. I have not found any flaws with it yet. It arrived in a large box and only took about 30 to put together (I did it with the help of my 7 year old). The battery takes 18 hours to charge the first time so there is a wait before you can play. It is easy to learn to drive for a 3 year old. She gives her 1 year old brother rides in it, and he sits still while his big sister drives. She has pretty much mastered the stearing. The radio is great too. It comes in clear, and has the ability to scan for stations. It has velcro, pretend, seatbelts which is a fantastic learning tool. The children know they can't drive/ride in it until the seatbelts are fastened. Everything works wonderfully. We have a large, grassy, yard. It has a lot of bumps in it, and the Barbie Jammin' Jeep has no problems moving about in it. I highly recommend this product, especially for a 3 year old. Only needs one option By Raymond Depiano I bought this for 3 year old Olivia....it was her 3rd birthday. The Jeep took me 2 1/2 hours to but together......as I put it together I could see that this is a solid and tough toy!! The only thing that is wrong with this Jeep... the plastic tires....They have a tough time getting any traction on other than smooth surfaces. I went on ebay and bought the traction grips for the Power Wheel line......what u get is a old sliced rubber tire tube, that u stretch over the plastic tires of the Barbie Jeep. THEN THE JEEP WILL CLIMB A MOUNTAIN!!!! Buy this Jeep!!!! But add some sort of rubber to the slick plastic tires!!... 17 of 19 people found the following review helpful. Power Wheels Barbie Jammin Jeep By Alissa S. Gregg My daughter was very excited to get this from "Santa," my son also for that matter. Unfortunately when we took the jeep outside for the first time it definately had some difficulty going up small hills that did not have a steap grade by any means. It made a grinding noise as if the gears were stripped. We are in the process of sending the jeep back and plan to buy another. I don't know if it was just one of those things and we received a bad one or not. We will definately try again because my kids definately loved the toy. Our daughter is 4 and our son is 18 months. Both enjoyed riding, listening to the music and just sitting in it watching TV on Christmas day. I have had other ride ons from this manuafacturer and have not had any trouble so I think it was just a fluke that this happened and once we get a replacement things will be great!
